I pray that Canada and the USA will heed these lesson being offered in Europe and will be more demanding of Muslims to respect the rules of our cultures. If we follow the path of pure appeasement as Europe has done (although France is trying if not yet succeeding in this struggle) we will face these same crises here. Religious tolerance is key in our countries... tolerance tied to respect for the law (including property laws).

Somebody sent me a video clip showing how Europe will become Muslim republics in a matter of decades. Germany and France in 40 years. The reason is because of the low birth rate. European countries birth rate is around 1.5 per couple. The minimum birth rate to sustain a population grouping such as the non-Muslim western culture is 2.11. The video says the low birth rate means the projection is irreverible now. Britain is going too. Canada and the U.S. are heading that way. Canada's birthrate is 1.6, too low to sustain the non-Muslim culture.
ReplyDeleteWhy cares? Islamic republics do not believe in fundamental freedoms in the same way the western democracies do. Take a look at Saudia Arabia and Iran for example. There is their interpretation of Sharia Law as well. There is no freedom of religion or freedom of speech. You cannot have a christian church. You can receive the death sentence for converting a Muslim to christianity. The death sentence can be given for various crimes for which we would be shocked. For being a christian? Women are treated very poorly, like slaves or chattels.
Wayne, you gotta quit watching that stuff (either that or take a time-out and THINK before you go running off in all directions). It's deliberately being disseminated in order to scare the stuffing outa you so you'll panic and spread the fear to everyone in your personal orbit. It's a terrorist tactic, and it's being used on you so you will use it on others, becoming a terrorist, yourself.

I have thought about your comment and I don't want to reply without giving it consideration. On the surface of it, your comment sounds reasonable, but if we accept your reasoning, we must remain ignorant of what is happening in the world.
ReplyDeleteNobody should panic, but neither should we stick our heads in the sand and pretend it's not happening. Panic would serve no useful purpose and as you say, it would play into the hands of the terrorists.
In my opinion, the world is changing fast and will be an entirely different place when our grandchildren grow up. We might not be in a position to stop it; so what do we do? We need to turn to the Bible and find the answers in there. That is the only place the real answers are found. Men cannot give us the solutions to these problems themselves. But God has in his written word. The Bible predicts men's heart will fail them for fear, but it also gives the answers. Maybe I should have mentioned that earlier in my post since it is so important.
A young Islamic girl in Pakistan has been sentenced to death for blaspheming the prophet. She is a reportedly a christian. This is what we might expect in Islamic republics because that is how they interpret the Koran. This is demanded by clerics and many Muslims in Pakistan. The government is under a lot of pressure from the international community to not carry out the death sentence and may decide to let her go at any moment. But she may not live long in such a country. Hopefully she will be transferred to another country immediately if and when she is released.

ReplyDeleteWHAT??? Excuse me, but WHERE did I say anything remotely resembling that?
In fact, what I said leads in precisely the opposite direction -- every time some of this alarmist stuff comes across your path, should not your first thought be to check out its veracity rather than swallow it whole? Get more information about it, not less!

But first, you must ascertain whether or not "something" is actually happening. 'Cause if nothing is happening, pretense is not a factor. This kind of alarmist overreaction is just gossip on a global scale. And gossip has been known to ruin individual lives. Can you imagine what this larger version is doing?

Well, I can guarantee you that the world in which your grandchildren grow up will be completely different from the one in which you grew up! And you don't stop it! You get out of its way. It won't be up to you to "fix" what is not broken.
And keep in mind: what is important to you is not necessarily important to anyone else. If you want to live by your version of whatever scriptures you hold dear, then do so. But you cannot prescribe that way of living for anyone else. And the expectation that you can will only cause you heartbreak, especially when it comes to your own family.

ReplyDeleteNo, Wayne. "They" are not the same in all countries where Islam is the majority. Take a good, long look at Turkey as an example of a secular state in which 98% of the population is Musim. I was at a Turkish festival last year, and I was, myself, astonished to find that they have a thriving wine industry! And the skimpy bathing suits on the women at those gorgeous beaches rival anything you'll find on the French Riviera!
Judging everyone else by the insanity of the few does not make sense.
